BLOGGING AND CREATING WEBSITE CONTENT
Blogging
After you have registered, you can post to your own personal RR blog. Your blog entry will appear on the left hand side of the RR website under "Recent Blog Posts."
To blog, simply
1. Log in
2. Click "create content"
3. Click "personal blog entry."
4. In the "Options" box, click "Published."
5. In the "User Comments" box, click "Read/Write."
6. Fill in the title for your blog entry.
7. Enter a path alias if desired. (A path alias makes linking to
the page easier. For example, if I entered "myblog" in this field,
the URL of the page would be http://radicalreference.info/myblog.)
8. Fill in the body with your blog entry.
9. Click "Preview" to check your work, or "Submit."
Please note: before posting willy-nilly, please look through some of the previous blog posts to get a feel for what kinds of posts are in scope.
Creating Other Content
Creating other pages follows the same routine. Basically you must create a "book page" for every kind of informational page, and follow (for the most part) the instructions here. Most pages are book pages.
The "create content" page allows you to upload files and pictures as well as create other types of pages, some of which we may use in the future. There are a few of us who are proficient in the Drupal software used so feel free to pose a question to the list if you have one.
