Talk about climate change: we are yet to reach the equinox, but temperatures are expected to hit 27 degrees in Sydney city today, will climb to 30 tomorrow, and stay there for the rest of the week. 93% of NSW remains in drought.

I'm planning on beginning repairing my old spare bike starting this weekend. It's a big job. I'll need panniers for all-purpose carrying and commuting, and lots of rust removal strategies.

We finally got a worm farm started this weekend. We've been apartment dwellers for five years now, but we do have a lovely array of herbs and vegetables growing on our balcony. What better way to feed them than with worm castings? Our local council provides lots of information about getting started through the Watershed Sustainability Centre.
