I've been working to save Washington Square Park from the "executionary" redesign proposed by Parks Department which will put high fences around the park. I believe high fences will promote crimes, particularly predatory crimes against women. I'm looking for statistics about predatory crime in parks where there are high fences or other obstacles making escape more difficult.
