I am a part of Heads On Fire, a San Diego based non-profit organization, and we are starting a research project on the present situation of Irian Jaya/Western Papua New Guinea in Indonesia, where reports of genocide are currently being investigated after 43 Papua refugees landed in Australia in January 2006.

We are looking for a clear understanding of the developments in Irian Jaya at this time, more specifically the origin of this conflict, military actions on part of the Indonesian government, ethnic groups that are being affected and how displacement and human rights abuses are being perpetrated at the locations of these incidents.
