According to the HIV/AIDS Epidemiology Section at the Georgia Division of Public Health, the Coastal Region of Georgia, which encompasses Bryan, Camden, Chatham (which includes Savannah), Effingham, Glynn, Liberty, Long and McIntosh counties had 426 people living with HIV out of every 100,000 residents in 2005. There were 896 people living with AIDS out of every 100,000 residents in 2005.
