UPDATE: Here's the wiki with all the info! http://wiki.radicalreference.info/index.php/RNC2008
From Wanda in Minneapolis-Saint Paul: "The RNC is just a little over a week away. I think it would be great to get together to start planning how we are going to provide support. How about this Sunday the 24th at the Black Dog Cafe in Lower Town? 7pm? I think it would be nice for us to meet each other and plan before the holiday weekend. Thoughts? Regarding the RNC The Black Dog has posted on its website, "Make the Black Dog your meeting place, gathering spot, decompression chamber, happy place, port in the storm, supply depot, info kiosk, rumor mill, watering hole, listening station, and mess hall...."
Lets take advantage of the space and get ourselves organized. Come with ideas and questions."
Twin Citians who'd like to help!
I'm new to this forum (and library science!), I live in the Twin Cities, and I'd love to help...how can I get plugged in?
Cheers!
Twin Cities Rad Ref
Oh great! We're having a meeting tomorrow starting at 5ish. If you can make it, send an email to mnradref@gmail.com. Here's the scoop:
A few of us have been working on Rad Ref plans for the RNC. We had a meeting on Sunday and have the plan to be at the RNC whenever possible armed with any sort of information we anticipate protesters might need. We are offering our information and resource-spreading services to various organizations. We have both a volunteer and event schedule on our wiki, to have as much event information as possible, and to coordinate who will be where during the convention.
We have set up a wiki at: http://sites.google.com/site/radicalreferencernc/
And an email account: mnradref@gmail.com
Anyone who will be in town and wants to be interested, please contact us.
We'd love all the advice and input we can get.
Thanks!
new wiki
We're now using this wiki http://wiki.radicalreference.info/index.php/RNC2008 instead of the one on Google that keeps disappearing. (How is that not evil?)
