The census bureau has a site called American FactFinder which is a good starting point to access census data. You can search by state, city, zip code - or by using the "seach by address" feature even by the enumeration district (which may only be a couple square blocks in a place like NYC). Considering the wealth of data it provides access to, it's (kind of) easy to use.
