I read a novel, published about five to ten years ago. It gives the history of a factory from before the civil war to recent times. It begins with a contemporary woman dying of cancer as a result of the factory's chemicals. It goes back to before the civil war and includes an episode when a millenialist wing of the family sells its share to another member because the world was coming to an end. I beleive the title includes the concept of money or finance. The book was well reviewed and sold well. Does anyone remember the name and or author?
