Radical Reference User Study (by two library school students)

Dear Radical Reference user,

Would you like to help two Library Science students?

If so, you are invited to participate in a research study being conducted by Lisa Hernández and Shannon McBeen - two graduate students in Pratt’s SILS program. The purpose of the study, titled Information Needs of Radical Reference Users, is to discover what types of information needs are being fulfilled for users of the Radical Reference website.

You are invited to be in this study because, as a user of Radical Reference, your insight will be beneficial in assessing and improving information dissemination for the activist community and for other online reference services providers.

Should you choose to participate, either Lisa or Shannon will interview you for no more than 45 minutes, and a $10 Amazon gift card will be offered to thank you for your time.

Please note that anyone currently working as a volunteer for Radical Reference is, unfortunately, ineligible for the study.

If you would like to participate, please reply to this email (rrcasestudy@gmail.com), and either Lisa or Shannon will contact you with additional details.

If you have any other questions, now or later, you may contact either of us at the email provided above.

Sincerely,

Lisa Hernández and Shannon McBeen
Pratt SILS Students
